Permanent Makeup – Powder Brows in Tampa Bay

At Nova Star Studio, I specialize in natural-looking powder brows, designed to enhance your existing features without overdoing it. My approach to permanent makeup is conservative and tailored — every brow is shaped with intention to bring out your natural beauty.
Powder Brows offer a soft shading effect that mimics the look of fuller, more defined eyebrows. This technique is done using a gentle machine with fine needles, depositing pigment under the surface of the skin while preserving your natural brow hair. The result is a subtle, polished look that lasts.
Serving clients from Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and the surrounding Tampa Bay area.
What to Expect:
Soft, airbrushed definition — not blocky or heavy
Results that last 1–2 years (with proper care and annual touch-ups)
Ideal for clients with sparse brows, oily skin, or those looking to save time on their daily routine
Note: Longevity depends on your skin type, aftercare, and lifestyle. Sun exposure and brightening skincare products can cause fading — sunscreen is highly recommended.

Since the pigment is inserted in the very superficial layer of the skin no as traditional tattoos are made, the pigment will fade over time. Powder brows can typically last up to 2 years, annual touchs are recommended. Every case is different, skin type and skincare routine can affect the longevity of the pigment, on oily skin you will need touch ups more often as well as people using strong bleaching serums, creams containing retinol or glycolic acid. It is recommended to always avoid any of these on your pmu eyebrows. Please also follow your aftercare step by step. To maintain your eyebrows looking fresh.
When you arrive at your appointment, I will answer any questions you may have. During this time, I will map, measure and draw a unique shape in your brows based only on your facial features, I do not use any stencils, everything is done manually therefore unique for each person, after we both considered the designed shape is the best for you the procedure will begin. The colour is determined by looking at your natural hair colour and skin tone. Each treatment is done using sterile and disposable tools, the pigments I use are the higher standard in the permanent makeup industry.
Your first treatment may take up to 2 hours, therefore, please plan accordingly.
It takes about 7-14 days for the brows to heal, and about 3-4 weeks for the colour to fully set. On the first couple of days, you will notice the pigment will appear darker and you will have a slight flaking, this is part of the healing process, do not try to lighten the pigment or pick scabs you may damage the skin. On the final stage of the healing process, about week two after your treatment, you will notice the colour appearing lighter, this is also normal as the tissue still healing from inside out even though the top layer of the skin has healed. The true color will reveal once your brows have fully healed. Be patient and trust the process.
The pain level is considered from mild to none. Numbing is not initially used on the *first pass because it changes the texture of the skin, making it harder to blade or machined shading. After the first pass is finished, I will apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area and reapply throughout the procedure.
*First pass is to slightly pre mark the treatment desired.

After Care
Day 1 (Day of treatment)
30 mins after treatment, gently wipe the area with the wipes received, them dry them with tissue paper. Repeat this step today every 2 hours until you go to bed, this is to avoid build-up of blood and lymph on the area. Apply a thin layer of the balm provided tonight.
Day 2:
Gently clean the area with the wipe provided 3 times today (morning, afternoon and evening). Apply a thin layer of the balm tonight.
-Wiping is only for the first two days.
-Stop the balm on the second night and then follow the next step.
Day 3 and onwards:
When scabs start to appear, apply a very thin layer of the balm (like half the size of a grain of rice for both brows.) You will do this once a day until all scabs fall off naturally, this is just to add a small amount of moisture.
–This aftercare applies for your first and any touch ups you may need after the initial treatment.
IMPORTANT ↓
- For the first 7 days avoid any water or sweating on your brows, this will cause poor retention of the pigment.
- For the first 30 days avoid any laser, chemical treatments, peels or any creams containing retinol, retina or glycolic acid on the face. No brow makeup or any facial products of any kind. Avoid swimming, saunas, facials, steaming. No direct sun. After your eyebrows heal completely you can use sunscreen.
- Do not use aggressive manipulation of the skin, be gentle. Make sure your hands are clean before touching your brows.
- Do not pick scabs of brows as the colour may heal unevenly. Try no sleeping over them while they are healing.
Over the next few weeks, you will be dealing with the healing process. Each day may look different to you but please be passion, trust the process and very important, follow the aftercare as directed.
Be prepared for the colour to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will subside and become softer as the skin heals.
Depending on the skin type the flakes/scabs will come away gradually, oily skin clients have a natural moisturizer therefore they will heal quicker, but the color will fade more than a client with dry skin who will flake more but hold colour better. It is very important not to pick the scabs as this will pull the pigment right out and you will get uneven heal results. You will notice as the scabs fall off that the skin may has an opaque milky looking, this is because the skin is still healing from the inside out, you will also notice the color will lighter up due to this milky look, do not panic, it will resurface over the next following weeks as the skin recovers and fully heals.
Have in mind that permanent makeup does not heal as traditional tattoos since the pigment used is mineral based and infused very shallowly into the skin. The result will be very soft as a skin tint. If during the healing process you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.
Ensure you book your appointment with all events and vacations in mind.
