I’m Rachel, founder of Nova Star Studio in Tampa. My journey as an artist began in childhood, growing up in Cuba with a deep love for drawing. When I moved to the United States, that love evolved — from painting with watercolors and acrylics to discovering the transformative world of tattooing.
In 2020, I found my calling in permanent makeup, especially eyebrow enhancement, where I fell in love with the precision and artistry of fine lines. This opened the door to fine line tattooing and eventually to a deeply meaningful specialty — areola tattoos for breast cancer survivors and others healing from breast surgery.
